EmptyChair, LLC and its affiliates (collectively, “EmptyChair” or “We” or “Us”) takes Your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy describes how EmptyChair collects, uses, and discloses information that We receive from visitors to Our website (www.emptychair.biz) or mobile applications, as well as information We receive from email or text messages between You and Us (collectively, the “Site”), pursuant to federal and state laws and best practices designed to protect You and Your private information.

Defined terms from the Terms of Use apply to the Privacy Policy unless otherwise defined. What Kind Of Information We Collect.

The Personal Data that You voluntarily submit, such as information to register an account with EmptyChair, to complete forms, to schedule an appointment with a Provider, or to pay for a service offered through the Site (the “Service”), is shared only with the EmptyChair personnel and partners, as well as Providers, who need this information to provide the Services and only to the extent such information is reasonably necessary to do so. Such Services include facilitating the scheduling of an appointment between You (or your pet) and a Provider whom you agree to see, and sharing information with the applicable Provider to the extent to such information is necessary to facilitate the scheduling of Your appointment. The Personal Data that You voluntarily submit may also be utilized to address any inappropriate use of the Site.
In addition to collecting information that You voluntarily submit, We may also automatically collect passive information from You that is not likely to be identifiable to You (“Passive Information”). Such Passive Information may be related to Your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, and may be used to improve the Site, Your experience with the Site, and the experience for other users with the Site. Specifically, We may collect the following Anonymous Information:

We May Share Some Information to Third Parties.
We do not sell Your personal information to any persons or organizations. We may share Your Personal Data with third parties who We have engaged to help Us provide Services and operate Our business. Payment Processing.
If You elect to pay for Services offered on the Site, You will be connected to Our payment processing partner Stripe. Stripe collects Your voluntarily provided payment card information necessary to process Your payment. Protecting Your Privacy.
The security of Your Personal Data is important to us. We use reasonable security measures to protect the confidentiality of personal information under Our control and appropriately limit access to it. However, EmptyChair cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information You transmit to Us via any medium, and You do so at Your own risk. B. HIPAA
This Privacy Policy does not apply to protected health information (“PHI”), which is governed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”). EmptyChair is not a Covered Entity nor a Business Associate to a Covered Entity, and does not collect PHI. Please refer to Your healthcare provider for any questions You may have about their practices regarding the privacy and security of Your PHI.
C. Third Party Links
Some content or applications, including advertisements, on the Site may be served by third parties, including advertisers, ad networks and servers, content providers, and application providers. Our policies, including Our Privacy Policy, do not apply to any external sites. Such third party sites may use cookies or other track technologies to collect information about You when You use Our Site. The information they collect may be associated with Your Personal Data or they may collection information about Your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services, and they use this information to provide You with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content. We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies, privacy policies, practices, or how they may be used.
